Τα βραβεία της Ένωσης Παραγωγών του Χόλιγουντ, γνωστά και ως PGA 2023, πραγματοποιήθηκαν εχθές στο Beverly Hilton του Λος Άντζελες και η ταινία “Everything Everywhere All at Once” θριάμβευσε για ακόμα μία φορά.
Η περιπέτεια επιστημονικής φαντασίας των δύο ευφυέστατων και μαξιμαλιστών δημιουργών, γνωστών ως Ντάνιελς, η οποία κυριάρχησε στην “κούρσα” των 95ων βραβείων Όσκαρ με 11 υποψηφιότητες, κατάφερε να κερδίσει το βραβείο Καλύτερης Ταινίας της χρονιάς, κάτι που προφανώς της δίνει ξεκάθαρο προβάδισμα για την αντίστοιχη κατηγορία στα φετινά Όσκαρ της 13ης Μαρτίου.
Αξίζει να σημειωθεί πως ήταν η πρώτη φορά που η PGA πρότεινε τέσσερα σίκουελς, στα οποία περιλαμβάνονταν τα “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” και “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”, ενώ τιμητική διάκριση είχε και ο ηθοποιός-παραγωγός Τομ Κρουζ, ο οποίος απέσπασε το David O. Selznick Achievement Award, το οποίο αναγνωρίζει έναν παραγωγό ή μια ομάδα παραγωγής για την εξαιρετική δουλειά τους σε κινηματογραφικές ταινίες.
Από το 2009, μόνο τρεις ταινίες που κέρδισαν τη μεγάλη διάκριση της Ένωσης δεν έχουν κερδίσει το Όσκαρ καλύτερης ταινίας – “The Big Short” (2015), “La La Land” (2016), “1917” (2019). Ακόμη και διχαστικές ταινίες όπως το “Green Book” (2018) και το “CODA” (2021) απέδειξαν τη δύναμή τους στα PGA προτού πάρουν το χρυσό αγαλματίδιο.
